Is it football season yet? Last year we had the opportunity to travel to Pasadena to watch the Mariota and the Oregon Ducks take on Winston and the Florida State Seminoles. Not only did we have tickets to see one of the very first college football playoff games, but we had the best tailgate around sponsored by Cornerstone Tailgates and Hop Valley Brewing.
Here’s a short recap of our trip (and for fun fact of the day- one of our most recent couples that hired us to film their wedding in 2016 both work for the company that makes the Hop Valley plastic can carriers. They found Blue Bus from watching this video-how awesome is that)! Since we were going to the game and partaking in the tailgate festivities, we opted to leave most of the gear at home and shot all handheld with a single lens. The Rosebowl doesn’t allow any DSLR cameras in the stadium, so we shot all the footage inside the stadium with a mix of GoPro Hero 3+ on a chest mount and an iPhone 5s with a 60mm lens by Moment. Goes to show that it’s not always about the gear you have, but getting out, shooting and having fun!
P.S. Don’t lie- how many times have you watched this GIF of Winston fumbling? At least 100 right?
